Rachida El-Amraoui

Profile - Rachida El-Amraoui Test Team Leader

Why did you choose to join TCL?I joined TCL as a graduate. During my studies I did a few placements in large corporations and realised that being another number in an HR employee list was not for me. Working for a TCL meant not only working on different site, meeting new people and changing environment on regular basis, but also being an expert in testing. Since joining TCL I have attended conferences and training with experts, I participated in workshops, worked and learnt with different people, which helped me rise from novice tester to professional.
What makes you the right person for your current role at TCL?The fact that I like my job is the first thing that makes me the right person for it. As I like what I do, I am hardworking, a quick learner, and friendly, helpful, and dedicated.
To date, what has been the most positive highlight of your time at TCL?The most positive highlight at TCL is for me the people that I met through my job. These are people I worked with on client site, which can be other TCL employees, clients or contractors, people I met through conferences and workshops, people I met in the town that I was based in. All these people influenced me in a way and I learnt a lot about testing, career or just life in general.
What are you passionate about? My family and friends, travels, meeting new people and learning about new cultures.
Outside of your career, what are your aspirations in life?My main goal at the moment is to help my brothers and sisters to set up in life and then I want to travel the world.
In your opinion, how is TCL different to other companies? At the last Company event, the guest I brought with me told me something that summarises exactly how TCL is: It just seems like a big family. Working for TCL means that you are not only an employee but everyone will make you feel like part of that big family and family take care of each other. The people that you work with makes a job good or bad and TCL will cultivate that team spirit through different means.
